Austin Altenau Hired as Hoots Director of Ticketing

University of Cincinnati graduate comes to the O’Fallon Hoots from the Florence Flamingos organization

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the hiring of Austin Altenau as the team’s new Director of Ticketing.

“Austin is someone with over five years of experience in the minor league baseball space,” Hoots General Manager David Schmoll said. “He has a strong background in both marketing and group sales, with insight into what it takes to deliver that fan entertainment experience. He is a great addition to our front office team.”

Altenau was the Manager of Digital Marketing, On-Field Entertainment, Partnership Activation, and Group Sales for the Coastal Plain League Florence Flamingos in the summer of 2023. Prior to his time with the Flamingos, Austin worked in sales and marketing for two independent league teams – the York Revolution and the Florence Y’alls. The native of Cincinnati, Ohio received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from the University of Cincinnati in 2020.

“I’m excited to work for the Hoots organization,” Altenau added. “I’ve heard nothing but great things about this fan base and I cannot wait to connect with them this year!”
