Beatty Returns to the Hoots for 2024 Prospect League Season

The junior hit .225 with 2 home runs, 17 RBI, and 20 runs scored in 31 games played for the ‘23 Hoots

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the signing of outfielder Zach Beatty for the 2024 summer season. Beatty comes to O’Fallon as a junior from the University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL). 

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound right-handed outfielder played 31 games for the Hoots in 2023, recording a perfect 1.000 FLD%, while hitting .225 at the plate, with 23 hits, 17 RBI, 20 runs scored, and eight stolen bases in 102 at-bats. Beatty is in his first season with the UMSL Trojans, and has registered 24 putouts in the field while hitting .294 with 15 hits, 8 runs scored, and five stolen bases in 51 plate appearances to start the 2024 season. Prior to his time with the Trojans, the Springfield, Missouri-native played two seasons for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Northark Pioneers, posting a .387 BA, .486 OBP, and .527 SLG in 93 at-bats, with zero errors in the field his freshman year. The junior attended Glendale High School in Springfield, Missouri.
