Browning Hired as New Director of Marketing

Mizzou grad joins the Front Office after completion of Hoots Fall Internship

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, members of the Prospect League, today announced that Shannon Browning has joined the Front Office staff as Director of Marketing.

“We are pumped to bring in someone with Shannon’s knowledge and work-ethic to the team,” Hoots’ General Manager David Schmoll said. “She has already hit the ground running, building on what we started with our first season and will only help us grow the Hoots brand in the community.”

Browning recently graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. She competed as a member of the Missouri Tigers’ Cross Country and Track and Field teams for three seasons prior to interning with the Hoots. The Washington D.C. area-native completed her capstone internship with the Hoots in the fall of 2020 before joining the Front Office at the beginning of 2021.

“I am really looking forward to getting to work more with the Hoots brand,” Browning said. “We have a lot of exciting things planned for the summer and I cannot wait to work more with the staff and interns to bring the fun to the ballpark!”

As Director of Marketing, Browning is responsible for managing the Hoots’ advertising and community engagement efforts along with managing the team’s various social media platforms. She will also oversee the in-game entertainment and the marketing and promotions interns. To join the team, visit
