Hoots Can Not Contain Late Surge From Alton In Loss

River Dragons score seven runs in the eighth inning to topple Hoots

The O’fallon Hoots drop meeting number 5 of the year, against the Alton River Dragons 14-6.

The scoring began right out of the gate with a Justin Santoyo Home-run in the top of the first, but a run in the bottom of the first on the Micheal Long RBI would tie us at 1.

After sneaking two more across the plate in the 2nd, O’Fallon carried the 3-1 lead into the 4th, where Justin Santoyo would greet Peter Underwood rudely, with another bomb.

A Monster Blast by Bryson Lofton in the bottom frame of the 5th would give O’Fallon the two run lead right back.

The River Dragons would scratch across two more in the 6th to tie us at 4 on a run scoring double by… guess who… Justin Santoyo, followed by a Eli Broekmeier single.

Scoring would stall until the River Dragon Rampage in the 8th. It began with a 2 RBI single by Jordan Aguallo, and 5 more runs would give Alton a 11-4 lead, and that was more than enough for a River Dragon win.

O’Fallon would threaten in the bottom of the 8th and 9th innings, but Alton would hold off for a win, 14-6 the final score.

O’Fallon will travel to face off against the Clinton Lumberkings on Friday, June 29th at 6:30pm.
