Hoots Sign Catcher Stevens for 2024 Prospect League Season

The Eureka, MO-native led the CBC Cadets with a .424 BA and 43 RBI his senior season

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the signing of right-handed catcher Ryan Stevens for the 2024 summer season. Stevens comes to O’Fallon as a true freshman from Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri. 

The 5-foot-11, 205-pound backstop played eight games in the CarShield Collegiate League (CCL) for the runner-up Adidas Athletics this 2023 summer season, finishing with a .348 BA, .478 SLG, and .961 OPS. The Eureka, Missouri-native attended Christian Brothers College (CBC) High School in St. Louis, Missouri, where in his senior season, he led the Cadets with a .424 BA and 43 RBI, while tallying eight home runs, 19 stolen bases, and a .720 SLG. Stevens had an equally successful junior season for the Cadets, registering a .380 BA, .550 SLG, 38 hits, and 29 RBI. The 2023 graduate is ranked as the number four catcher in the state of Missouri by Perfect Game and has committed to play for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Jefferson College Vikings this upcoming 2023-2024 season.
