Hoots Sign Freshman Two-Way Player Politte for 2023 Prospect League Season

The St. Louis-native posted a 1.36 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 56 ⅔  innings pitched his senior year

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the signing of infielder and right-handed pitcher Drew Politte for the 2023 summer season. Politte comes to O’Fallon as a freshman from Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) in Tennessee. 

The 6-foot-0, 200-pound two-way player attended Lindbergh High School in St.Louis, Missouri, where he provided a back-end bullpen arm to close out tight games and a power bat at third base for the Flyers. Politte finished his high school career with a .315 AVG, .422 OBP, .556 SLG, 24 runs, 34 hits, and 30 RBI, while earning a 6-3 record on the mound his senior season. The freshman played for the travel ball team, the St. Louis Naturals, before committing to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DSCC Eagles. The St. Louis-native has played in six games for the Eagles this 2023 season, posting a .250 AVG in four at-bats, and earning a win in his sole start on the mound against Coahoma Community College.
