Hoots Sign JCCC Outfielder Hendricks for 2023 Prospect League Season

The redshirt freshman earned First-Team All-Ozark Conference honors his senior year

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the signing of outfielder Rhett Hendricks for the 2023 summer season. Hendricks comes to O’Fallon as a redshirt freshman from Johnson County Community College (JCCC) in Overland Park, Kansas. 

The 6-foot-1, right-handed outfielder attended Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Missouri, where he earned first-team All-OZark Conference and first-team All-District honors his senior year, putting up a .329 AVG, 27 hits, 32 runs, 27 RBI, and 10 stolen bases that season. Hendricks went on to play in three games for the JCCC Cavaliers his freshman year, before an injury ended his season. This season, the redshirt freshman has displayed a .424 AVG, .528 OBP, and .678 SLG with 25 hits and 19 runs in 59 at-bats in the team’s 21-4 record start. The Springfield, Missouri-native has signed a national letter of intent to play at the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2024.
