Hoots Sign Left-Handed Hurler DuMont for 2023 Prospect League Season

The SLU Freshman notched 61 K’s his high school senior season

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the signing of left-handed pitcher Jack DuMont for the 2023 summer season. DuMont comes to O’Fallon as a freshman from Saint Louis University (SLU). 

The 6-foot-3, 205 pound left-handed pitcher attended Saint Louis University High School, where he averaged 12.55 strikeouts per nine innings for the Junior Billikens his senior year, while holding opponents to a .222 batting average. The Wildwood, Missouri-native led the Jr. Bills to the Class 6A District 3 finals in 2022, with a 1.12 ERA over his final four appearances. DuMont tops out at over 90 mph on his fastball, earning him a top five ranking among left-handed pitchers in Missouri’s 2022 class by Prep Baseball Report (PBR). Jack played travel ball with the Rawlings Tigers and the Tulsa Sandlot. The freshman will make his debut for the SLU Billikens this spring.
