Hoots Sign SIUE Commit Coon for 2024 Prospect League Season

Coon led the Triad Knights baseball team with a .448 BA his junior high school season 

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the signing of right-handed outfielder Brady Coon for the 2024 summer season. Coon comes to O’Fallon as an incoming freshman committed to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). 

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound right-handed outfielder/pitcher attends Triad High School in Troy, Illinois, where, in his junior season, he led the team with a .448 BA, while putting up a .759 SLG with 52 hits, four home runs, and 22 RBI. The Troy, Illinois-native went 6-2 on the mound in 12 games started, posting a 2.86 ERA in 44 innings pitched with 55 strikeouts and a 1.48 WHIP. The 2024 graduate had similar success his sophomore season, recording a .421 BA with 48 hits, two home runs, and 29 RBI in 114 at-bats, and finished with a 6-1 record, 1.19 ERA, and 38 strikeouts in 35 ⅓ innings pitched for the Knights on the year. The senior has committed to play for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I SIUE Cougars in 2024-2025.
