Hoots Sign Sophomore Outfielder Beatty for 2023 Prospect League Season

The Springfield-native is committed to UMSL following his ‘23 NJCAA season

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the signing of outfielder Zach Beatty for the 2023 summer season. Beatty comes to O’Fallon as a sophomore from North Arkansas College (Northark). 

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound outfielder attended Glendale High School in Springfield, Missouri. The sophomore is in his second season with the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Northark Pioneers. The Springfield, Missouri-native played in 35 games his freshman season, posting a .387 AVG, .486 OBP, and .527 SLG in 93 at-bats, with zero errors in the field. This season, Beatty has put up a .220 AVG, 10 runs, and six stolen bases in his 41 at-bats and 17 games played so far for the Pioneers. The sophomore has committed to play for the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) Tritons following his graduation from Northark.
