Jones returns to the Hoots for 2023 Prospect League Season

The junior recently earned Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Jack Jones for the 2023 summer season. Jones comes to O’Fallon as a junior from Drury University. 

The 5-foot-8, right hander attended Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jones made 15 appearances during his sophomore season for the Drury University Panthers, picking up two wins. Following the 2022 collegiate season, the Tulsa, Oklahoma-native made his Prospect League debut, registering a 2.63 ERA and 19 K’s in 13 ⅓ innings pitched, while earning one save on the mound for the Hoots. This 2023 season, the junior has posted a 4-1 record, 2.94 ERA, and 29 strikeouts in 33 ⅓ innings pitched for the Panthers. Jones’ success on the mound earned him Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of March 20-26. The righty tossed six innings in the team’s final game of a series at Missouri University of Science and Technology, allowing just one unearned run, two hits, two walks, and striking out seven batters at the plate. Jones recently notched another win against the Southwest Baptist University Bearcats on April 2, 2023.
