SLU Right-Hander Kelly Signs with Hoots for 2024 Prospect League Season

The freshman is 1-0 in his two starts for the Hoots, with 15 K’s in 10 innings pitched

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Owen Kelly for the 2024 summer season. Kelly comes to O’Fallon as a freshman from Saint Louis University (SLU). 

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound right handed pitcher comes to the Hoots after completing his freshman year at St. Louis University. In his freshman year for the Billikins, Kelly posted a 4.30 earned run average in 29.1 innings pitched while recording 29 strikeouts. The Belleville, Illinois-native played his high school baseball at Belleville East High School where he won four games while posting a 2.01 ERA in 38.1 innings pitched. With the Hoots, the right-hander has 15 strikeouts in ten innings pitched with a 3.60 earned run average and a 1-0 record after two starts.
