Two Hits for Clohisy and McCutcheon in Loss

Patrick Clohisy (SLU) had two hits including a home run, and Jake McCutcheon (Missouri State) added two hits of his own in 13-4 loss for the O’Fallon Hoots (23-28)

Clohisy’s team-leading 10th home run went over the bullpen in the fourth inning. McCutcheon’s two hits were both hits, including a run-scoring single in the fifth.

On the mound, Aidan Haynes (Louisiana Monroe) pitched 2.1 innings in relief and struck out five in his Hoots debut. Trent Anderson (UMSL) followed him, pitching the final two innings and striking out four in his home debut for the Hoots.

The Cape Catfish (20-29) used a six-run fourth inning to provide them enough cushion to win the game. Colten Weber was credited with the win, tossing five innings and allowing four runs.

O’Fallon travels to Alton tomorrow for a battle with the River Dragons. After that, the Hoots return home Saturday to play Alton again. First pitch Saturday is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. and the gates will open at 5:35 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office at CarShield Field or online at ofallonhoots.com.
