Professional Baseball Returns to CarShield Field with Gateway Grizzlies Matchup

Former River City Rascals Manager Steve Brook returns to CarShield Field with the Gateway Grizzlies for a regular season game on August 20

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots announced today that CarShield Field will have professional baseball for the first time since 2019 when the Gateway Grizzlies play host to the Florence Y’alls on Tuesday, August 20 for a regular season Frontier League matchup. This will be the first professional game played at CarShield Field since the River City Rascals’ final home playoff game five years ago.

“We are excited to partner with our friends at the Grizzlies to host a regular season Frontier League game at CarShield Field,” Hoots General Manager David Schmoll said. “It’s an added bonus that we are able to welcome back a figure with such a long history at this stadium with Steve Brook managing the Grizzlies. It will be a special night.”

The Gateway Grizzlies will play their August 20 home game at CarShield Field against the Florence Y’alls with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. The game is a part of the Frontier League’s regular season. General admission pre-sale tickets are $12 with premium seating options available.
