O, Fallon, MO – As part of a long evening in the Prospect League, the O’Fallon Hoots added to their chances of a postseason berth with a two-win night against the Thrillville Thrillbillies in a doubleheader at CarShield Field. The Hoots won 7-6 in the first game and followed up with a 13-9 win in the second game on Tuesday night.
In Game 1, the Hoots won 7-6 because of John Connors’ walk off single in the eighth inning. The single scored outfielder Nick Alagna to win. In Game 2, the Hoots poured 13 runs home. Center fielder Griffin Brown hit a grand slam and totaled five RBI. Alagna added three RBI for the Hoots. By the end of the night, O’Fallon used nine total pitchers and while Thrillville utilized seven pitchers.
The Hoots have Wednesday off but play a doubleheader on Thursday against the Thrillbillies in Marion. The first game is scheduled to start at 5:35 p.m. and the second game will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
