Hoots Announce 2022 Home Schedule

Hoots open on June 1 against defending champions

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, members of the Prospect League, announced their 2022 schedule. The team will play 30 home games and 30 road games, beginning on June 1 and ending on August 5.

“June 1 cannot get here soon enough!,” General Manager David Schmoll said. “We cannot wait to bring the community back to CarShield Field and provide our community with more fun things to do in O’Fallon in 2022.”

The Hoots open their 2022 season against the defending Prospect League Champion Cape Catfish at home on June 1, the start of a three-game homestand. The schedule features five Fridays and five Saturday nights with theme nights and additional entertainment. Rounding out the schedule are one Monday, two Tuesday, six Wednesday, three Thursday and three Sundays. A full promotional calendar will be announced in the coming weeks including fireworks, character appearances and special performances.

The Hoots will see a healthy mix of opponents visiting CarShield Field in 2022. The Hoots and Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp will meet for the first time since each team relocated when Illinois Valley visits O’Fallon on June 25. The River Rivalry against the Alton River Dragons continues this summer with five games in O’Fallon and six in Alton. The Hoots will play host to Cape for six games, Springfield for three, Burlington for two, Danville for two, Clinton for two, Normal for three, Quincy for four and Terre Haute once.

All regular, single home games will have a 6:35 p.m. first pitch. Doubleheaders will start at 5:35 p.m. and will feature two, seven-inning games. Tickets for doubleheader dates are valid for both games.

    We’re so excited! We did 5 games and 2 games with our grandsons. They never had so much fun. They each caught 5 or 6 f.b.’s.. that never happens at a cardinal game. We’ll do at least 5 games this year. Too much fun, and it’s real baseball with real young men having real fun.
