Hoots Drop Sunday’s Game Against Thrillville 14-10

O’Fallon, MO – The O’Fallon Hoots slugged the ball around CarShield Field on Sunday night, but they did not hit enough. The Thrillville Thrillbillies poured in 14 runs and 20 hits on Sunday, beating the Hoots 14-10.

Thrillville shortstop Eduardo Letamendi was one of the many standouts. Letamendi hit a home run, a double and a single. Designated hitter Brayton Coomer also hit a home run, his second in the series. O’Fallon’s Baker Shelhamer hit a late two-run home run in the ninth inning to narrow the deficit to four.

Many pitchers entered the game for both sides, but Thrillville reliever Klayton Wright struck out seven Hoots, a game high. Hoots reliever Jack Werkowitch pitched over two innings out of the bullpen, striking out four Thrillbillies.

O’Fallon will have the day off on Monday. On Tuesday, the Hoots (2-4) return to Marion, Illinois to take on the Thrillibillies (3-3) once more at 7:00 p.m.
