Jackson, MS- The Hoots 13-game win streak finally comes to an end in heartbreaking fashion as the Jackson Rockabillies walked off the Hoots by a final score of 6-5. The walk-off sacrifice fly was the dagger for Jackson.
The scoring started early for Jackson as they tagged O’Fallon’s starter Zach Taylor for five runs across 2.2 innings of work. Carter Mize went to Tanner Sullivan who pitched a gem out of the bullpen keeping the Hoots alive.
O’Fallon’s offense was able to force extra-innings but did not score in the top of the eight inning leading to the walk off. John Connors, William Zareh and Carson Ramos did the damage for the Hoots, each driving in a run.
The heartbreaking loss pushes O’Fallon’s record to 5-1 in the second half of the season. They will wrap up the three-game series at Jackson on Friday, July 3rd, before an exciting July 4th matchup with the Cape Catfish.
