O’FALLON, MO – CarShield Field will play host to one of college baseball’s most exciting regional rivalries as the University of Missouri and the University of Illinois square off in the annual “Braggin’ Rights” game on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m.
This year’s matchup is the 34th meeting between the two programs from opposite sides of the Mississippi River as the Tigers and Fighting Illini will battle not only for in-state and regional pride, but for bragging rights in front of what is expected to be a strong crowd at the 3,000-seat ballpark. Missouri holds a 17-15-1 overall record over the Illini after an 11-9 victory in last year’s meeting.
Located in O’Fallon, Missouri, CarShield Field serves as the home of the O’Fallon Hoots and has become a premier destination for collegiate and high school baseball as well as various special events in the St. Charles county area.
