O’Fallon Hoots Announce 2026 Prospect League Schedule

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, members of the Prospect League, today announced their 56-game schedule for the 2026 summer season. The Hoots will once again play a balanced slate of 28 home games and 28 road games, beginning with Opening Day on Tuesday, May 26, against the Cape Catfish at CarShield Field in O’Fallon, Missouri.

The 2026 season marks another opportunity for the Hoots to build on a historic 2025 campaign that saw the club record a league-best 41 regular season wins and a league-record 17-game winning streak, setting the standard for success in the Prospect League.

“We’re excited to turn the page to 2026 and continue building on the momentum from last season,” said Hoots General Manager Brendan Saak. “After a year where our organization led the league in wins, expectations are high, and we can’t wait to showcase our players and provide another summer of unforgettable baseball and entertainment for the O’Fallon community.”

For the second straight season, the Hoots will open their schedule against the Cape Catfish, with Opening Day festivities set for May 26 at CarShield Field. The 2026 regular season will conclude following games played on Saturday, August 1.

Once again, the Prospect League season will be divided into two halves. The first half will conclude on Friday, June 26, while the second half will begin on Saturday, June 27.

The Hoots’ home schedule features ten Friday and Saturday games, providing fans with numerous weekend opportunities to enjoy Hoots baseball. Those dates along with the rest of the season slate will include theme nights and added entertainment throughout the summer, with a full promotional calendar to be announced in the coming weeks.

The 2026 Prospect League Champion will be crowned following the regular season using the same playoff format implemented over the past five seasons. The postseason will begin with four winner-take-all division championship games, followed by two winner-take-all conference championship games, and will conclude with a best-of-three league championship series. The playoffs are scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 2, and conclude on Sunday, August 9.

All regular-season single home games will feature a 6:35 p.m. first pitch. Doubleheaders will begin at 5:35 p.m. and consist of two seven-inning games, with one ticket valid for admission to both games.
