O’FALLON, MO — The O’Fallon Hoots have announced the hiring of Brendan Saak as the organization’s new General Manager ahead of the 2026 summer season. Saak brings a dynamic background in strategic communications, collegiate athletics, and sports management to the Hoots’ front office — along with a personal history with the organization.
A former Hoots pitcher in 2018 when the club was based in Hannibal, Missouri, Saak also worked with the team in 2019, assisting with stadium and press box operations. His return to the organization now comes in a leadership role, bringing his experience full circle.
“I am incredibly excited to rejoin the Hoots organization in this capacity,” said Saak. “This organization played an important role early in my professional career, and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to be back.”
Saak joins the Hoots after serving as general manager for the Quincy Doggy Paddlers last season. As general manager, Saak managed day-to-day operations, corporate sponsorships, staffing, and game day experience during the team’s inaugural season in the Prospect League.
Prior to his general manager experience, Saak served as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Davidson College, a Division I institution located in North Carolina, where he was the primary media contact for multiple athletic programs. He also spearheaded creative content, photography, and social media strategies — helping Davidson Athletics achieve thousands of online impressions.
Saak also served as Director of Athletic Communications at Catawba College, where he oversaw publicity and digital media for 23 NCAA Division II sports, led a website redesign, and helped roll out the athletic department’s rebranding initiative.
A native of Belleville, Illinois, Saak is a former two-sport collegiate athlete, where he played both baseball and football. Saak earned both his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from Quincy University.
“I want to thank the ownership group for giving me the chance to be a part of this special organization,” said Saak. “I look forward to building off of the positive momentum that was established before me, and I will work hard to continue to bring high-quality college baseball and a fun, family experience to CarShield Field.”
The O’Fallon Hoots compete in the Prospect League, hosting games at CarShield Field in O’Fallon, Missouri. The team is committed to providing affordable, family-friendly entertainment while developing top collegiate talent for future professional opportunities.
