Mahomet, Ill. – The Prospect League announced its Hitter of the Week after week two of action in the 2026 season. O’Fallon Hoots outfielder Nick Bonczkowski was given the Hitter of the Week award after he totaled 12 hits from June 2 to June 7.
Bonczkowski doubled three times and notched 12 RBI in a week that saw him hit for a .545 batting average and a 1.497 OPS. Bonczkowski’s two home runs at Thrillville last Tuesday highlighted a 4-for-4 night at the plate. A transfer from St. Louis Community College, Bonczkowski is ranked eighth in the Prospect League in batting average (.426) and first in RBI (18).
The Hoots play at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday in a road game against the Cape Catfish. O’Fallon will host the Jackson Rockabillys at 5:35 p.m. on Thursday at Carshield Field.
